Fire crews called to house blaze in Orpington with person reported trapped

Twenty-five firefighters have been called to tackle a house fire that has broken out in the early hours of  Thursday morning.

The London Fire Brigade were called to reports of a fire at Shalford Close in Orpington in shortly before 3 am (Thursday, November 5).

Four fire engines along with a number of officers have been sent the scene. It is understood that control staff had to give those involved fire survival guidance prior to the fire service arriving
