Gang of Women Target Elderly Shoppers in South Yorkshire

Between 24 July and 23 August, a group of women have been on the hunt, targeting vulnerable elderly female shoppers to snatch purses and valuables. The thefts have hit Hillsborough, Ecclesfield, and Sheffield city centre.

Victims Left Shaken

Chief Inspector Sarah Gilmour slammed the offenders: “These women have repeatedly targeted vulnerable people for their own financial gain.” One victim, a 91-year-old, was left deeply shaken after her ordeal.

Police Hunt for Suspects

The police are urging the public to help bring these crooks to justice. Authorities want to identify the women pictured in connection with the crimes, as they could hold vital clues to the investigation.

“We are doing all we can to bring those responsible to justice, but we rely on the continued support of the public to provide information for us to act upon. If you have seen either of the women pictured, or have information that could assist the investigation, please get in touch.”
