Nazi Salutes Spur Police Hunt After Shocking London Stadium Match
Chaos erupted at the London Stadium on 28 April as several home fans shocked the crowd by making vile, racially motivated gestures — including Nazi salutes — aimed at visiting supporters.
Seven Suspects Sought Over Hate Gestures
Detective Constable Phil Dickinson from the Met’s Public Order Planning Team revealed the scale of the operation. “This was a challenging police operation on the day of the match where arrests were made. But our work does not stop there,” he said.
“Officers have been analysing footage and identified seven individuals we want to trace in connection with those abhorrent gestures and comments.
“I urge anyone who recognises these people to get in touch immediately and quote the relevant reference number shown on the image. This type of behaviour has no place in football or wider society and these people must be held responsible for their actions.”
