Murder probe launched after three arrests in uk/where/barking/">Barking
Detectives from the Met’s Homicide and Major Crime Command have launched a murder investigation after a man died on Tuesday, 27 March. Just after midnight on Monday, 26 March, officers attended an LONDON" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="east London" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked" data-wpil-monitor-id="100618">east London hospital after a 59-year-old male was admitted having been assaulted and suffering from serious injuries. Police then went to the victim’s house on Stern Close, Barking. The property is being treated as a crime scene. An explanation was given by those present that the victim went to bed the night before and was then found in the morning shaking in bed, with blood coming from his nose. London Ambulance Service attended the address in the evening and took the victim to hospital. The victim died of his injuries at 16:37hrs and a murder investigation launched. Three people have subsequently been arrested on suspicion of murder: A 48-year-old man, a 51-year-old female and a 34-year-old female. The 51 year old Remains in custody at this time at a North London police station Two others were interviewed by detectives and released under investigation. A fourth man was arrested and taken to prison for failing to appear at court in relation to a separate matter. A post-mortem examination is due to take place on Thursday, 29 March.
