Cop Crushed by Car During Uxbridge Break-In Bust

Officer Hurt in Brutal Incident

A police officer was left with a broken ankle after being struck by a car in Uxbridge. The drama unfolded at 9.45pm on Thursday, 29 July, when police were called to Park Road following reports of a suspected break-in.

Plain-Clothes Officer Targeted

The plain-clothes officer, a man in his mid-20s, arrived at the scene to investigate. While there, he was hit by a vehicle driven by a passing member of the public, a man in his mid-40s.

Driver Arrested on Serious Charges

The driver was immediately arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and remains in custody as inquiries continue. The injured officer was rushed to a central London hospital and is receiving treatment.

Investigation Ongoing

Police say it’s not believed the assault was related to the victim being an officer. Investigations are still underway to determine the full circumstances.
