Man Hospitalised After Shooting in Caterham
A man is fighting for his life with serious head and neck injuries after being shot in Caterham last Thursday night.
Armed Police Respond to Incident
Armed officers rushed to Coldstream Road, near the large green off Guards Avenue, shortly after 10pm. A 40-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the shooting.
Police Treat Case as Attempted Murder
“We are treating this case as attempted murder and strongly believe this to be an isolated incident,” said Acting Borough Inspector Jon Vale, who is leading the investigation.
He added: “We want to reassure the public amid the increased police presence in the area that we are doing everything possible to solve this case.”
