Teen Sex Assault Shocker in Public Toilets at The Meadows
A 14-year-old boy was sexually assaulted in broad daylight on Friday afternoon. The horrifying attack took place around 4.30pm BST on 15 April inside public toilets on the east side of The Meadows near Hope Park Terrace.
Man Flees After Attack
The victim was approached and attacked by an elderly man. A passerby entered the toilets mid-incident, causing the suspect to flee towards the Hope Park Terrace crossroads.
Police Hunt Slim, White-Stubbled Suspect Using Walking Stick
Police describe the suspect as a white male, approximately 5ft 6ins tall, slim build, with white stubble, around 70 years old. He was last seen wearing a dark jacket and trousers, a flat cap, and carrying a walking stick.
Officers Urge Witnesses to Come Forward
“This attack has left the teenage boy exceptionally upset,” said Detective Inspector Grant Paterson. “This part of The Meadows would have been busy. I am asking anyone who saw this man or knows who he is to get in touch.” “In particular, I am appealing to the member of the public who walked into the toilets during the incident to contact us — you may have vital information.”
