Eastbourne RNLI Launches Twice in One Day

Eastbourne RNLI volunteers sprang into action twice on Saturday, 29th April, responding to emergencies near Belle Tout Lighthouse and Beachy Head.

Morning Mystery Rescue

The first call came at 10:10am. The RNLI crew joined forces with police, local coastguards, and the Coastguard Rescue Helicopter. Details remain under wraps due to the sensitive nature of the incident, but the team was ready and on scene.

Evening Tidal Drama Turns Safe

Just eight hours later, at 6:10pm, the crew launched the Inshore Lifeboat after reports that three people were cut off by the tide at Beachy Head.

Thankfully, the trio had already found their own way to safety before help arrived, leaving the crew with a clean bill of health for all involved.
