Sergeant Paul Ewing from Edinburgh Road Policing extended condolences to the family and confirmed the investigation is ongoing. He urged anyone with information to come forward, referencing incident number 3395 from Saturday, 2 November 2024.

Chief Inspector Trisha Clark, local area commander, condemned the spread of graphic videos online.
