A major fire tore through a farm building in Ashey on the Isle of Wight early Monday, leaving serious damage in its wake.

The inferno, raging to a staggering 15 by 25 metres, destroyed the roof of a farm building at East Ashey Manor Farm, located off Ashey Road and East Ashey Lane.

Swift Firefighter Response to Early Morning Emergency

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service sprang into action after receiving an emergency call at 12:46am. Four fire engines from Sandown, Ryde, Newport, and Shanklin were deployed along with two officers and a water carrier.

Firefighting Efforts and Aftermath

Crews used hydrants, jets, and hose reels to tackle the raging flames and stop the fire from spreading further. As of now, one fire appliance remains at the scene, closely monitoring to ensure the area is safe.
