How the Attack Unfolded
The suspect reportedly tricked security staff into buzzing him in by falsely claiming to be an Argos worker. Suspicious guards confronted him, prompting the man to pull out a knife and attack. Three other staff members tried to intervene and were hurt in the scuffle.
Emergency Response and Victims’ Condition

“We were called to reports of a stabbing at a commercial property in Croydon shortly after 10 a.m. today,” said a Metropolitan Police spokesperson. “A man has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm, and investigations are ongoing. We can confirm this is an isolated incident with no wider threat to the public.”
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson added: “We sent a number of resources to the scene, including ambulance crews, a paramedic in a fast response car, and London’s Air Ambulance. Our crews treated five patients at the scene, taking one to a major trauma centre and four to other hospitals.”
