Man, 43, arrested after deadly assault in Edinburgh
Fatal attack at Westfield Road
A 53-year-old man has died following an assault at a property on Westfield Road, Edinburgh. Police swooped on the scene after receiving a welfare call just before 1pm on Friday, June 7.
Tragedy at the property
Emergency crews found the victim unresponsive and he was pronounced dead at the scene. His family has been informed of the tragic loss.
Investigation underway
Detective Inspector David McAlinden confirmed the probe is ongoing but called it a “contained incident.” Westfield Road remains closed temporarily while officers carry out their work.
