Shock Attack at Shoreham Lagoon: Police Hunt Couple After Brutal Assault

Police are urgently seeking witnesses after a 30-year-old man was brutally attacked in an unprovoked assault at Widewater Lagoon, near Shoreham.

Man Hospitalised with Fractured Eye Socket

The victim was walking along the footpath and cycle path around 8pm on 29 June when a man and woman suddenly attacked him. He suffered a fractured eye socket and was rushed to hospital for treatment but has since been discharged.

Suspects Described: Stocky Couple in Their 30s

  • Male suspect: White, mid-to-late 30s, about 6ft tall, stocky build, short black hair. At the time, he wore three-quarter shorts and no top.
  • Female suspect: White, mid-to-late 30s, around 5ft 8in tall, stocky build, black shoulder-length hair tied in a ponytail. She was dressed in a black cardigan and black shorts, carrying a pink handbag.
