Man Fatally Stabbed in Broad Daylight on Islington’s Upper Street
Detectives are hunting witnesses after a brutal stabbing left a man dead on a busy Islington street.
Deadly Assault on Upper Street
The attack happened around 6:30pm on Monday, 21 May, near the junction with Tyndale Lane, N1. Police and the London Ambulance Service rushed to the scene after reports of a stabbing.
They found a man, believed to be a 30-year-old from Haringey, suffering from multiple stab wounds. Despite emergency efforts, he died on the spot. His family has been informed, but formal ID is pending.
Police Launch Murder Probe
Detectives from the Homicide and Major Crime Command are leading the investigation. Several forensic scenes remain in place as officers hunt the attacker.
Appeal for Witnesses and Dash-Cam Footage
“This was a brutal attack that was carried out on a busy street in broad daylight,” said Detective Chief Inspector Whellams. “We want anyone who saw the assault or has dash-cam footage from the area around the time to come forward. Your information could be vital.”
