£10.4 Million Jewellery Heist Shakes Primrose Hill

Detectives need your eyes on the streets after a daring £10.4 million jewellery smash-and-grab in Primrose Hill, Camden. The robbery struck on Saturday, December 7, at a swanky address on Avenue Road, NW8. The thief struck between 5:00 PM and 5:30 PM, climbing through a second-floor window while the owners were out.

High-Value Haul: Diamonds, Hermes & Cash Stolen

The burglar made off with more than just jewellery. Alongside bespoke diamonds, the loot included £150,000 of Hermes Crocodile Kelly handbags and a cool £15,000 in cash.

Among the unique stolen treasures are:

  • Graff: A massive 10.73-carat diamond ring.
  • De Beers: Two iconic butterfly diamond rings.
  • Hermes: A 3.03-carat ring, an aquamarine ring, and the rare ‘Niloticud Lumiere’ necklace.
  • Van Cleef & Arpels: Various pieces including a 1978 diamond, sapphire, and platinum necklace/bracelet set plus the ‘Fleur des Mers’ ring.
  • Chrome Hearts: Gold bracelets inlaid with emeralds and sapphires.
  • Chopard: Dazzling diamond earrings.
  • Others: Pink sapphire butterfly earrings by Katherine Wang.

Suspect on the Run: Police Issue Description

The suspect is described as a white man, late 20s to 30s, medium build. He was dressed in a dark hoodie, cargo pants, and a grey baseball cap. His face was covered during the burglary, making identification tricky.

“This is a brazen offence, where the suspect has entered the property while armed with an unknown weapon and violated the sanctuary of the victims’ home,” said Detective Constable Paulo Roberts, leading the investigation. “The suspect has stolen £10.4m worth of jewellery, much of which is sentimental and unique in its design, making it easily identifiable. We urge anyone in the Avenue Road area who saw anything suspicious to come forward.” “If you’ve seen this jewellery or if someone has tried to sell it to you, please contact the police or Crimestoppers anonymously.”
