Man Arrested After Halloween Incident in Norwich

A man in his 40s has been arrested following a frightening incident in Norwich in the early hours of Sunday, 30 October 2022. He remains in custody at Wymondham Police Investigation Centre.

Victim Approached Near Thorpe Road

The victim, a woman in her 20s dressed head-to-toe in black with a waist-length puffer jacket, had been celebrating Halloween in Norwich city centre on Saturday night. Just after 1am, as she walked along Thorpe Road near Lower Clarence Road, a man driving a silver Nissan Qashqai approached her.

Police Hunt Witnesses to Silver Nissan Incident

Detective Inspector Kevin Barber of Broadland CID said: “I would like to appeal for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward. I am particularly keen to hear from anybody who saw the woman or the silver Nissan Qashqai in the area around this time.”
