Arrest Made in Shocking Stabbing
Police later arrested a 49-year-old man at a west London police station on suspicion of murder. He remains in custody as the investigation continues.
Locals Stunned by Brutal Attack
One anonymous witness said, “It was quite shocking really. It happened right across the street in broad daylight on a very busy road. The ambulance arrived in record time and the air ambulance landed in the local park. I honestly can’t believe it.”
Another local, Andy Panayiotou, 43, added, “I only moved here in November. It doesn’t make me feel unsafe, just feels out of character. We were all taken aback. It really does feel surreal.”
Police Appeal for Witnesses and Dashcam Footage
Detective Chief Inspector Katherine Goodwin urged anyone who was near the junction of Cowley Road and Frayslea just after 7pm on 6 July to come forward.
“It’s a busy road, and there would have been a lot of people on foot or in vehicles in the area. We are especially interested in hearing from anyone who may have dashcam footage.”
