Tragedy on King Street: Eight-Year-Old Boy Killed in Lorry Crash
A devastating crash involving a lorry claimed the life of an eight-year-old boy in Ealing, West London, shaking the community of Southall to its core.
Emergency Rush and Fatal Outcome
Shortly after 6pm on Friday, February 23, emergency services raced to King Street after reports of a collision between a pedestrian and a lorry. Despite heroic efforts by London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance paramedics, the young boy could not be saved. He was treated at the scene before being rushed to hospital but was pronounced dead at 9:47pm.
“The family of the young victim has been informed of the heartbreaking incident,” said the Metropolitan Police.
Lorry Driver Remains at Scene, No Arrests Yet
The lorry driver stayed at the scene following the collision. So far, no arrests have been made in connection with the tragic event.
London Ambulance Service dispatched two ambulances, an advanced paramedic, a fast response car, and an incident response officer. Two teams from London’s Air Ambulance also raced by car to provide urgent medical aid.
Call for Witnesses and Dashcam Footage
Detectives from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are probing what happened and urging witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward.
