Four Found Dead in Southwark Home – Police Name Victims and Hunt Clues
Victims Identified in Shocking South East London Murders
Detectives from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command (Homicide) are digging deep into the brutal killing of four people in Southwark.
They have now named the victims:
- Denton Burke, 58, and his partner Dolet Hill, 64, who lived together on Delaford Road, Southwark.
- Tanysha (aka Rachquel) Ofori-Akuffo, 45, Dolet Hill’s daughter, of Kennington, Southwark, SE17.
- Samantha Drummonds, 27, Tanysha’s daughter, from Forest Hill, Lewisham, SE23.
Relatives have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
Police Appeal for Eyewitnesses and Information
Detective Chief Inspector Linda Bradley, leading the investigation, said:
“This was a truly horrific incident. We know the pain for the family and community is overwhelming. We are conducting a full and thorough investigation and urge anyone with information to come forward. If you know or saw anything that could help, please call the police. How the Tragedy Unfolded
The alarm was raised at 1:42am on Monday, 25 April after reports of a disturbance at a Delaford Road address.
Police forced entry when no one answered the door, fearing for those inside. Inside, they discovered four victims—three women and one man—who appeared to have suffered stab wounds.
Despite emergency efforts, all four were pronounced dead at the scene.
Suspect in Custody But Hospitalised
Police also found a man inside the property. Officers used a Taser to detain him before arresting the 28-year-old Lewisham man on suspicion of murder.
He remains under arrest and is currently being treated in hospital in stable condition.
Ongoing Investigation and How to Help
Post-mortem exams are scheduled for 26 and 27 April, after which formal identification will be confirmed.
