Men Busted for Ripping Off Homeowner with Dodgy Roof Repairs

On Saturday 11 May 2024, a man near Seal Hollow Road, Sevenoaks was targeted by two men offering to clean his gutters and fix urgent roof repairs.

Price Hiked and Roof Damaged

The suspects returned two days later and hit the victim with a hefty bill – far above the original quote. Worse still, they’re accused of damaging the roof by removing lead flashing.

Fraud and Criminal Damage Charges

Police quickly launched an investigation and arrested two men in their 30s. They face charges of fraud by false representation, theft, and criminal damage.

Both suspects have been released on bail until 16 August, as inquiries continue.
