Oxford Kidnap Horror: Two Men Snatched and Driven Around for Hours
Police are hunting witnesses after a dramatic kidnap on Bartholomew Road, Oxford.
On Wednesday 30th September, between 11:55am and 12:10pm, two men – one in his twenties, the other in his thirties – were forcibly stopped by four men in a dark BMW. The suspects dragged the victims into the car and drove them around for three hours. Luckily, both men escaped without injury or needing hospital treatment.
Police Urge Witnesses and Drivers to Come Forward
Detective Constable Christopher Bennett from Oxford Police urged anyone who saw the incident to speak up. He also called on motorists in the area to check their dash-cam footage for any useful clues.
“I am appealing to any witnesses who may have seen what happened, or anyone who may have information about this incident to please come forward,” said Bennett.
“I would also urge any motorists who were in the local area around the time this happened to check dash-cam footage in case it may have captured something significant.”
Four Arrested – Released on Bail
Police arrested four men from Oxford on suspicion of kidnap: a 31-year-old man with no fixed address, plus men aged 40, 42, and 46. All have been released on police bail until 28 October as inquiries continue.
