Police are hunting witnesses after a serious crash near Trafalgar Square in the early hours of Saturday, 22 June.

Pedestrian Critical After Hit by Red Citroen

At 12.09am, officers were called following reports that a red Citroen C4 struck a 29-year-old pedestrian on Northumberland Avenue, WC2. The victim was rushed to a central London hospital and remains in critical condition. His family has been informed.

Driver Stops, Police Probe Incident

The driver stayed at the scene and is cooperating with police. The Roads and Transport Policing Command is leading the investigation and has already spoken with several witnesses.

Possible Pre-Crash Altercation Caught Police Attention

Early inquiries suggest the pedestrian may have had an altercation with a third party just minutes before the collision—not involving the driver. Officers are keen to hear from anyone who saw either the fight or the crash itself.
