A 19-year-old man was brutally stabbed to death in broad daylight on a busy Birmingham street. Now cops are scrambling to catch a teenage suspect on the run.

Tragic Killing on Hutton Road

Yassin Alama was found seriously injured on Hutton Road at around 5.20pm on Sunday. Paramedics and bystanders tried desperately to save him, but Yassin was pronounced dead at the scene.

17-Year-Old Suspect Still on the Loose

West Midlands Police are urgently hunting 17-year-old Oumar Traore in connection with the murder. Officers have made several failed attempts to arrest him and warn the public: do not approach Traore.

“This was a violent attack in the street, which has sadly resulted in the death of Yassin,” said Jenny Birch from the Homicide team. “Yassin’s family have been left absolutely devastated. We are doing everything we can to support them and bring answers.” “If anyone sees Traore or has information on his whereabouts, do not approach. Call 999 and quote log 3135 of 16 November.”

Police Step Up Patrols With Tough New Powers

Forensic teams have sealed off the scene with a blue tent as they comb for clues. Extra high-visibility patrols have been deployed to reassure worried locals as the hunt intensifies.

Section 60 powers were activated from 4pm Sunday until 7 am Tuesday. This gives police the authority to stop and search anyone without suspicion while searching for Traore.

Police plead with the public to stay alert and report tips – but keep clear of the dangerous teenager. The race is on to bring justice for Yassin and restore safety to Birmingham’s streets.
