On the evening of Wednesday, 18 December, police were called to Mottingham Road, SE9, at approximately 9.29pm following reports that a substance had been sprayed onto a woman.
Emergency services, including officers from the Metropolitan Police, the London Ambulance Service, and the London Fire Brigade, attended the scene promptly. Despite initial concerns, there were no reports of injuries related to the incident.
A 40-year-old woman was arrested at the scene on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm (ABH). She remains in police custody as investigations into the matter continue.
The nature of the substance involved has not been disclosed, and enquiries are ongoing to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
