London Drug Dealer Jailed for 11 Years in Worthing Crackdown
Jamie Burrell, caught running a Class A drug line from London to Worthing, has been slammed with an 11-year prison sentence.
Firearms and Hundreds of Drug Packets Seized
Police raided Burrell’s Lambeth home on 25 October, uncovering a firearm, ammunition, cash, and around 500 packets of heroin and crack cocaine. The bust was a major blow to the notorious ‘MP’ County Drug Line responsible for flooding Worthing with crack and heroin.
Drug Lord Admits Guilt
The 27-year-old, already convicted for firearm possession, owned up to operating the drug line at his arrest. Burrell pleaded guilty to a slew of charges including:
- Supplying crack cocaine and heroin
- Possession with intent to supply both drugs
- Possession of a short firearm and ammunition
- Violation of lifetime bans on firearm and ammunition possession
Police Warn Criminals: We’re Watching You
Sentenced at Lewes Crown Court on 15 December, Burrell faces 11 years behind bars. PC Dave Oliver hammered the message home:
“Burrell played a major role in dealing Class A drugs to Worthing. This conviction is a clear warning – drug crime won’t be tolerated. We will keep disrupting those who poison our communities in Sussex.”
