Early Hours Burglary Foiled in Strood High Street
Kent Police received a frantic call at 3:47am on Tuesday 2 May 2023 reporting a burglary in progress at a business on Strood High Street. The caller feared the suspects were still inside the premises.
Quick Response Leads to Arrests
Medway’s Local Policing Team rushed to the scene and nabbed two men, aged 30 and 45, near the shop at 4:06am. Officers also recovered a small knife and a hammer from the suspects.
Ongoing Investigation and Prison Recall
- The 30-year-old suspect has been bailed until Tuesday 6 June as investigations continue.
- The 45-year-old is under further investigation and has been recalled to prison for unrelated offences.
