Knife Offender Caught Red-Handed in Mansfield Disturbance
Police swooped on a Mansfield home after reports of a disturbance on 18 October. Officers arrested 45-year-old Jason Smith on Lindley Street, initially for criminal damage.
Bladed Weapon Found in Custody Search
While in custody, Smith—who has no fixed address—was searched and caught carrying a bladed article and an offensive weapon. He faced extra charges on top of the original.
Swift Justice: Smith Jailed for 146 Days
Smith pleaded guilty to possession of an offensive weapon, possession of a bladed article, and criminal damage at nottingham/" title="Nottingham" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on 20 October 2020. He was sentenced to 146 days behind bars.
