Cop Charged with Sexual Assault After Off-Duty Party
PC Paul Hinchcliffe, 46, faces a serious charge of sexual assault following an off-duty social event back in October 2020. The allegation was reported to South Yorkshire Police’s Professional Standards Department, triggering a full investigation.
Suspended and Under Investigation
Hinchcliffe, who worked in police training, has been suspended from duty. An internal misconduct probe is currently paused pending the outcome of the criminal case.
Court Date Set for January
He is bailed to appear at Leeds Crown Court on Tuesday, 3 January 2023, where he will face the charge.
