Teen Arrested Over Fatal Stabbing of Levi Ernest-Morrison
A 17-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of murder on Wednesday, 14 April, following the deadly stabbing of Levi Ernest-Morrison, 17, in Sydenham Road, SE26, last Saturday.
Investigation Intensifies as Suspect Held
The teenager remains in custody at a South London police station while homicide detectives from Specialist Crime continue to probe the killing.
Detective Chief Inspector Chris Wood urged the public to come forward, saying: “It is often the case that friends or acquaintances of the victim know who was responsible. If you are one of those people, please do the right thing by your friend and get in touch with us.”
He added, “If you don’t want to speak directly to police, you can pass your information to Crimestoppers anonymously by phone or online. Alternatively, you can contact us directly, where all information will be handled in strict confidence.”
Woman Charged and Due in Court
A 36-year-old woman was arrested the day after the stabbing, on Sunday, 11 April. She was charged with murder on Tuesday, 13 April and is set to appear at the Old Bailey on Friday, 16 April.
