Burglary Busted in Tunbridge Wells – Suspect in Court
A suspected burglar has appeared in court following a break-in at a Langton Green home over the New Year. Kent Police launched an investigation after a house on Dornden Drive was targeted, with a car, jewellery, and various valuables stolen between December 31, 2022, and January 1, 2023.
Stolen Car Recovered, Flick Knife Seized
Detectives from the Chief Constable’s Crime Squad swiftly acted and recovered the victim’s stolen car from a road in Addington. On January 11, a man and woman were arrested in connection with the crime. Officers also seized a dangerous flick knife during the arrests.
Christopher Grinham Charged and Remanded
- Christopher Grinham, 43, of Kings Walk, South Croydon, faces multiple charges including burglary, car theft, possession of a flick knife, driving while disqualified, and driving without insurance.
- He appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court on January 12 and has been remanded to Maidstone Crown Court for a hearing on January 19.
Woman Released on Bail
The 43-year-old woman from South Croydon who was also arrested has been released on bail until March 8, pending further investigation.
