Knife Threat Sparks Two Early Morning Attacks
Police in Kent swooped after a man threatened two victims with a knife in separate robberies on 15 July 2020. The first incident happened around 1am in Railway Street, Chatham, when a man was confronted and threatened for cash. Luckily, he managed to escape and get help — the attacker fled empty-handed.
Second Victim Loses Phone and Earphones in Strood
Less than an hour later, at 1.50am, another man was targeted in Strood High Street. This time the suspect brandished a knife and stole the victim’s phone and earphones before making a getaway.
Quick Police Action Leads to Arrest
Local officers acted fast. By 2.20am, police arrested a man matching the suspect’s description in Chatham High Street.
Suspect Charged and Heading Back to Court
Harry Law, 18, from Grebe Way, Maidstone, faces serious charges: one count of robbery, one of attempted robbery, and possession of a bladed weapon in public. He appeared via video link at Medway Magistrates’ Court on 16 July and was recalled to prison over a previous offence.
Law is due back at Maidstone Crown Court on 13 August.
