Disturbing Google Searches Linked to Angharad Williamson in Logan Mwangi Murder Trial

Cardiff Crown Court heard that Angharad Williamson searched for “five-year-old dead Bridgend” twice on the night Logan Mwangi vanished. The 30-year-old, her partner John Cole, 40, and a 14-year-old youth all deny murdering five-year-old Logan.

Logan’s Body Found in River Ogmore

Logan’s remains were discovered in the River Ogmore, Sarn, Bridgend, early on 31 July 2021. Police revealed details from a Google account linked to Williamson’s phone, showing strange online activity that night.

  • Account viewed 17 YouTube videos up to 2:15 AM, including content by “Dr Pimple Popper.”
  • One cyst removal video was watched 27 times over six weeks.

Michelle Claxton, a South Wales Police intelligence analyst, testified about the repeated viewings. Defence counsel John Hipkin questioned if Williamson was definitely the one using the phone, noting the videos reflected “particular interests” over time.

CCTV Reveals Shocking Evidence

CCTV footage from the days before Logan’s body was found shows Mr Cole and the teenager in suspicious activity. At 2:43 AM on 31 July, Cole was caught carrying what he later admitted was Logan’s body. The court also saw footage of Logan’s bedroom light flickering on and off that early morning.

Charges Mount Against Trio

All three face charges including perverting the course of justice—for moving Logan’s body near Pandy Park, removing his clothes, washing bloodstained bed linen, and filing a false missing person report.

  • Williamson and the youth plead not guilty to these offences.
  • Cole admitted perverting the course of justice.
  • Both adults deny causing or allowing Logan’s death.

Last July, the court heard Logan suffered 56 “catastrophic” injuries, consistent with a major fall or car crash. The grim trial continues.
