A Woman Has Been Charged With Multiple Offences Following An Investigation Into Disturbances In Dover Town Centre

The town’s Victim Based Crime Team carried out enquiries into reports of shop staff being verbally abused and assaulted in St James Retail Park on Thursday 7 September and Tuesday 19 September 2023.

Abbie Thompson has now been charged with committing assault and racially aggravated harassment on Thursday 7 September.

The 38-year-old is also charged with four counts of assault and one count of racially aggravated harassment on Tuesday 19 September.

She is further charged with racially aggravated harassment against a police officer during her arrest on Tuesday 26 September.

Ms Thompson, of Snargate Street, is due to appear before Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 27 September.
