Woman in Critical Condition After Fatal Crash That Killed Michael Course
A 67-year-old woman is fighting for her life following a horrific crash that claimed the life of Michael Course. The tragic collision happened just before 11pm on Saturday, 21 June, at the junction of Hurst Road and Glenhurst Avenue.
The woman suffered life-changing injuries after the car smashed into a fence. Police arrested a 26-year-old man at the scene on suspicion of causing death and serious injury by dangerous driving. He remains in custody while being questioned.
Heartbreaking Tributes Left at Crash Scene
Floral tributes and heartfelt messages have been left in memory of Michael Course, whose inquest is set to open next week. One note read:
“Sometimes when you hear of a tragic event, words are hard to come by. This is such a hard time. Gone but never forgotten. Rest in peace.”
Another message expressed the shock felt by friends:
“Deeply saddened and shocked.”
Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward
Detective Sergeant Rob Harris from the Metropolitan Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit is appealing for help:
“As our enquiries continue, we are appealing to anyone who may have been in the area at the time.”
