Child Abuser Jordan Blenkinship Jailed for Six Years After Sick Crimes Exposed

Monster’s Crimes Start When Victim Was Just Four

Jordan Blenkinship, 31, from Blackpool, was locked up for six years on Friday, December 20, 2024. He also faces a lifetime Sexual Harm Prevention Order. The vile offences span back to 2009-2011, targeting a young child when Blenkinship was only 17 and the victim just four years old.

Authorities first caught wind of the abuse in 2010 after someone close to the victim raised the alarm. Blenkinship denied all the claims when he was arrested in March that year, but the truth would not stay buried.

Victim’s Bravery Breaks Silence

Nearly a decade later, in 2019, the victim stepped forward with a courageous statement that powered the police investigation forward. Her testimony was key in securing the guilty verdict at Manchester Crown Court.

Guilty on Multiple Sexual Assault Charges

After a tense week-long trial, the jury found Blenkinship guilty of:

  • Multiple sexual assault offences
  • Sexual assault by penetration of a child under 13

Police Praise Victim’s Strength, Urge Others to Speak Out

Detective Constable Callum Shackleton of Greater Manchester Police’s Major Incident Team said, “This sentence is just the start of her healing but guarantees Blenkinship cannot harm children anymore.”

He urged all survivors of abuse to come forward, no matter when the abuse happened. “Justice is possible, and we want victims to know they are not alone.”
