Teen Charged After Brutal Stabbing on Kent High Street
At around 10pm on Wednesday, March 24, chaos erupted on Kent’s High Street near River Walk when a man in his 20s was viciously stabbed multiple times. The victim was rushed to a London hospital by South East Coast Ambulance Service and remains in serious condition.
18-Year-Old Arrested for Attempted Murder
Deejay Evans, 18, from New Wharf Road, Tonbridge, was arrested shortly after the attack. He is known to the victim. On Friday, March 26, Evans was formally charged with attempted murder and was remanded in custody ahead of his court appearance at Medway Magistrates’ Court on March 27.
Second Suspect Released
A 19-year-old man, initially arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, has been released without charge as police continue their probe.
