Wembley Stabbing Shocker: Man Slashed Outside Shop
Detectives are on the hunt for witnesses after a stabbing in Wembley rocked the community late on Saturday night.
Knife-Wielding Attack on Preston Road
At 11.11pm on July 18, police raced to a commercial premises on Preston Road following reports of a man armed with a knife. By the time officers arrived, the suspect had vanished.
Just 14 minutes later, officers were called back to the same spot with reports that someone had been stabbed.
50-Year-Old Victim Rushed to Hospital
On arrival alongside London Ambulance Service, police found a 50-year-old man with stab wounds. He was taken to hospital in a serious but stable condition. It’s believed he was attacked outside the shop before the attacker fled.
Arrest Made, Police Still Need Info
A 43-year-old man was arrested the next day on suspicion of attempted murder, robbery, grievous bodily harm, and threats to kill. He was charged on July 20 with attempted robbery, GBH, and possession of an offensive weapon.
Detective Constable Daniela Biagini: “Even though someone has been charged, we still want to hear from anyone with information or footage of the incident. Please contact police immediately if you can help.”
