Tragic Death Rocks Easterton
Raymond Jr Groves, 48, from Hartcliffe, Bristol, was found dead following a disturbance at a home in Strawberry Fields, Easterton, near Devizes. Police rushed to the scene on the evening of July 2, but the man was pronounced dead shortly after.
A murder investigation is now underway as detectives probe the shocking circumstances surrounding his death.
Family Pays Heartfelt Tribute
Raymond’s family released a poignant statement remembering him affectionately as “Boo,” a warm soul who was always ready to lend an ear.
“Raymond Jr was an outgoing and funny person. Always there for people when they needed a chat. His family and friends will miss him dearly.”
Three Charged Over Murder
Authorities have charged three individuals in connection with Raymond’s death:
- Helen Shakespeare, 53, of Strawberry Fields
- Anthony Hodges-Hillier, 33, from Royal Wootton Bassett
- Letishia Goodwin, 29, of Strawberry Fields
Helen and Anthony face charges of murder and conspiracy to commit murder. Letishia is charged with conspiracy to commit murder. All three have been remanded in custody ahead of a trial scheduled for February 2025.
