Car theft and assault in Kent leads to four arrests
Victim Attacked, Car Stolen in East Street
Kent Police were called at 11.04pm on Tuesday 16 April 2024 after a man was assaulted at a property on East Street. The attacker snatched the victim’s car keys. The victim’s car and bank card were reported missing shortly after the incident.
Rapid Police and Ambulance Response
Officers arrived swiftly on the scene alongside South East Coast Ambulance Service, who treated the injured man.
Stolen Car Tracked and Stopped on M2
The stolen vehicle was tracked to junction 3 of the Londonbound M2, where police stopped it. A woman, a man, and two teenage boys were arrested at the scene.
Four Charged Over Robbery and Driving Offences
Early on Thursday 18 April, East Kent CID charged 28-year-old Jade Cosier of Sunshine Corner Avenue, Canterbury, with robbery plus three driving offences. Also charged with robbery were 23-year-old Erik Horvath from Dover and two unnamed teenage boys.
All four were due to appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court on 18 April.
