Two More Charged Over Andre Bent’s Tragic Murder in Maidstone
Detectives probing the murder of 21-year-old Andre Bent from Lambeth have charged two more men with violent disorder. Andre died after a late-night brawl on Maidstone’s High Street in the early hours of Sunday, 25 August 2019.
Teen Charged With Murder
Earlier in September, a 16-year-old boy from Hornsey, north London, was charged with Andre’s murder. He remains in custody, awaiting his next court date. The Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate continue to lead the investigation.
Two Men Arrested and Charged
On Tuesday, 17 September, detectives arrested and charged two more men in connection with the violent disorder that erupted that night:
- Jerral Johnson, 26, of Boyne Close, Hornsey
- Kaline Riley, 23, of Campsfield Road, Hornsey
Both are due to face Medway magistrates on 18 September.
Further Arrests Underway
Additionally, a 29-year-old man from Hornsey was arrested on 16 September on suspicion of causing violence, with inquiries ongoing.
