Children’s Social Worker and Criminal Nabbed in Major London Drug and Gun Bust

A children’s social worker and a convicted criminal from Lewisham have been locked up for a combined 24 years. Chloe Scott, 27, and Miles Addy, 28, were caught running a huge drug and firearms network spanning London and the South East.

Undercover Sting Starts with Teen Drug Dealer

The Metropolitan Police launched their crackdown after stopping a 15-year-old boy at Tower Hill Underground Station in December 2022. He was caught with drugs — but his phone revealed he was working under orders from none other than Chloe Scott.

Police found clear communications showing Scott was actively directing the minor to deliver and sell drugs, despite her professional role as a children’s social worker.

Armed Police Find Cocaine and Deadly Knives

Tensions ratcheted up on June 3, 2023, when armed officers intercepted Scott’s car on Seven Sisters Road in Islington. Inside they uncovered:

  • Half a kilo of cocaine
  • Five large hunting knives

Criminal Ties to Jailbird Addy Exposed

Scott was regularly communicating with Miles Addy, a Lewisham criminal locked up for a previous firearms offence. Despite being behind bars, Addy helped mastermind the drug and firearm racket spreading Class A substances and weapons.

Footage on Scott’s phone showed her delivering guns and drugs, apparently under Addy’s orders. Two firearms linked to the pair were tied to ongoing investigations, including a murder case and a November 2023 firearms seizure involving convicted criminal Joy Hyde-Coleman.

Guilty Pleas and Heavy Sentences

Scott, from Whitehead Close, N18, pleaded guilty to multiple charges including:

  • Conspiracy to supply Class A drugs (two counts)
  • Illegal sale or transfer of firearms (two counts)
  • Conspiracy to possess firearms and ammunition
  • Possession of hunting knives
  • Causing unnecessary suffering to a dog

She was handed a long prison sentence and banned from owning animals for 12 years.

Addy admitted to conspiracy charges involving drugs, firearms, and ammunition.

Together, Scott and Addy were sentenced to a total of 24 years behind bars.

Met Police Condemn ‘Shocking Betrayal of Trust’

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson slammed the duo:

“This case shows a shocking breach of trust. A professional tasked with protecting vulnerable young people was instead exploiting them for serious organised crime.”
