Man Charged With Double Murder in Stockwell Stabbing
A man has been charged with killing two people found with stab wounds at a Stockwell address.
Daniel Briceno-Garcia, 44, of Dorset Road, SW8, was charged on Thursday, 2 April, with two counts of murder. He is set to appear in custody at Croydon Magistrates’ Court today (Friday, 3 April).
Stabbing Scene Reveals Tragic Deaths
Police rushed to a home on 1 Road, SW8, at around 4pm on Wednesday, 1 April. Inside, they discovered a 59-year-old man and a 56-year-old woman with fatal stab injuries. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.
Formal identification is pending, and next of kin have been informed.
Multiple Arrests as Met Police Probe
At the scene, six people—five men and one woman—were arrested on suspicion of murder. Only Briceno-Garcia has been charged; the others were bailed while inquiries continue.
Detectives from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command are leading the investigation.
