Murder Charge After Deadly Knife Attack in East London
Sabajet Shuti, 30, has been charged with murder following a brutal stabbing in East London. He was swiftly extradited from Sweden and appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, October 21.
Grim Details of the Attack
The tragic incident happened on the night of October 16, 2022. Police were called to Church Lane, E11, at 10:59pm after reports of a violent fight. Two men in their 20s were found injured at the scene.
Despite efforts from the London Ambulance Service, 27-year-old Zeqja Lumturi died at the location.
Additional Charges and Court Dates
Alongside murder, Shuti faces charges of causing grievous bodily harm to a second victim, violent disorder, and possession of a knife. He is due back in court at the Old Bailey on Tuesday, October 24.
