Teen Shot at Wembley: Fighting for His Life
Chaos erupted early Sunday morning at Atlantic Crescent, Wembley Park. Police rushed to the scene at 5.27am after reports of a shooting near South Way and First Way. An 18-year-old boy was found unresponsive outside the Crystal Club and remains in critical condition four days on.
Rafael Reveane Rodriguez, 39, from Middleton Road, Morden, was charged with attempted murder on Wednesday, September 24. Dennis Gambrah, 32, from Lewisham, was arrested the day before. Police say six more suspects face arrest in connection with the shooting.
Leicester Square Knife Attack: Four Slashed in Night Horror
Just hours after the Wembley shooting, Leicester Square was plunged into violence again. Around 1am on Sunday, four men in their 20s and 30s suffered knife wounds. Thankfully, none are critically injured.
A 50-year-old man was arrested and hit with multiple charges including grievous bodily harm, affray, possession of an offensive weapon, and possession of Class B drugs.
Knife Crime Spikes Across London
- Edgware: On Monday, September 22, a man armed with a knife caused panic at McDonald’s on Stonegrove. A teenager suffered a minor knee injury but was treated on the spot.
- Brixton: Two 16-year-olds were hurt in a knife fight on Acre Lane Tuesday evening. One teen suffered a stab wound; luckily, neither injury was serious. Police responded just after 5pm.
The Met is urging anyone with information to come forward and help tackle this surge in violence across the capital.
