Driver Flees Scene After Smashing Pedestrian
A man was rushed to hospital with a head injury after being hit by a car in Marlborough Road, Dagenham, early this morning. The driver didn’t stop, leaving the victim injured on the street.
Police were called just after 9:35am on Thursday, 17 April, following reports of the collision. Emergency teams, including the London Ambulance Service, quickly responded and treated the man at the scene before taking him to hospital. Thankfully, his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
Crime Scene Locked Down as Hunt for Hit-and-Run Driver Continues
Police have set up a full crime scene and are actively searching for the vehicle responsible. No arrests have been made so far.
“Police were called at around 09:35hrs on Thursday, 17 April to reports of a man injured after being involved in a collision with a car in Marlborough Road, Dagenham. Officers and London Ambulance Service attended and the man has been taken to hospital for treatment to a head injury – at this stage, his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
