London Dealer Nabbed Running Medway County Lines Gets 5 Years Behind Bars
Kingpin Caught Red-Handed in Bedroom Raid
Tamer Bodur, 22, from Woolwich, London, has been locked up for five years and two months after police smashed his drug network operating in the Medway towns. Officers stormed his home in October 2019 and found a stash of Class A drugs, £5,300 in cash, knives, and a CS gas canister.
County Lines Crime Busted
Bodur pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply crack cocaine and heroin, possession of a CS gas canister, and possession of criminal property at Maidstone Crown Court on 29 November 2019. The investigation revealed he was coordinating the dangerous county lines operation right from his London bedroom.
Street Drugs, Weapons and Cash Seized
- Two mobile phones loaded with county lines data
- A shoebox stuffed with £5,300 cash
- Heroin stash: a plastic container plus 53 wraps
- Large quantities of crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia
- Several large knives and two imitation firearms
- CS gas canister found by the front door
The estimated street value of the seized drugs was up to £3,320.
Police Warn Drug Dealers: We’re Coming for You
“Bodur thought he was safe coordinating a drug dealing network in Medway from his bedroom in London. However, our officers are relentless in their approach to tracking down dealers and putting them behind bars,” said DC Terry Hanlon from the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate.
“This sentence sends a clear message that we will continue to target those who believe they can come into the county and attempt to sell drugs to the vulnerable people in our communities.”
