Fatal Shooting Rocks Aintree
A murder investigation is underway after a deadly shooting in Aintree on Sunday night, June 23. The tragic incident happened near the Liver Industrial Estate, close to Taskers, at around 10.10pm.
The Scene and Victim Details
Emergency services were first called when North West Ambulance paramedics treated a 19-year-old man. Police arrived to find he had been shot. Despite being rushed to hospital, the young man was tragically pronounced dead shortly after. His next of kin have been informed and are receiving support from specialist family liaison officers.
Crime Scene and Investigation in Full Swing
Police have sealed off the area while forensic teams comb the scene for evidence. Officers are carrying out extensive CCTV checks and conducting house-to-house interviews in the neighbourhood. Patrols have been stepped up to reassure local residents and clamp down on any further trouble.
Call for Witnesses and Dashcam Footage
Detective Chief Inspector Mark Baker urged anyone with information—even small details—to come forward. “Gun violence has stolen too many young lives in Merseyside,” he said. “We will keep fighting to remove weapons from our streets and bring those responsible to justice.”
