Six Shot in London Chaos – Including Nine-Year-Old Girl

In just 15 days, London has been rocked by six separate shootings. Victims include a nine-year-old girl. This surge in gun violence has left communities terrified and police scrambling for answers.

Shock Dalston Attack: Girl and Diner Shot at Restaurant

The violence began on May 29 when nine-year-old Lissel Maria was shot while eating with her family at the Evin restaurant on Kingsland High Street, Dalston. Three men, aged between 37 and 44, sitting outside, were also hit by bullets fired from a stolen Ducati Monster motorbike.

Lissel remains in critical condition, but the men have since been discharged from hospital. The suspect fled the scene on the stolen motorbike, which was stolen back in 2021.

Detective Chief Superintendent James Conway said: “Our investigation team has been working tirelessly to piece together what happened and to identify the dangerous individual responsible for this shocking and indiscriminate act of violence.”

Police suspect links to Turkish-organised crime but no arrests have been made so far.

Dagenham Daytime Shooting: Three Charged

Just a week later, on June 5, a 23-year-old man was shot in broad daylight on Wren Road, Dagenham. He suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was rushed to hospital.

Two men, Luke Parr and Troy Eugene, both 23, have been charged with attempted murder and firearm offences. A 22-year-old woman was also arrested but later released on bail.

Detective Constable Nick Fletcher stated: “Finding those who carry and use firearms is one of our top priorities to protect communities from serious violence.”

Woolwich Horror: Man in His 20s Fighting for Life

The latest shooting hit Woolwich on June 10, around 10:35 PM. A man in his 20s was shot on Ogilby Street and remains in serious condition with life-changing injuries.

Police are urging anyone with information to come forward immediately.

Detective Constable Nick Fletcher said: “The victim remains seriously ill and we are doing everything we can to find those responsible for this brutal attack.”

Rising Gun Crime Sparks Alarm Across London

The Office for National Statistics reports 6,645 firearms-related crimes in the year ending June 2023—a 1% rise from the previous year. The National Crime Agency (NCA) has made cracking down on gun smuggling a national priority.

Experts warn gangs are obtaining weapons through criminal networks smuggling guns from Europe hidden in vehicles.

Police Plea: Help Stop the Violence

Police urge anyone with information about these shootings to call 101 or report anonymously via Crimestoppers.
