Murder Probe Underway After Fatal Ilford Stabbing

Man in His 30s Dies in Street Attack

Police launched a murder investigation after a stabbing on Southdown Crescent, Ilford, on Friday night. Officers rushed to the scene at 9.28pm following reports of an assault.

They found a man, believed to be in his 30s, suffering from stab wounds. Despite emergency first aid from police and the London Ambulance Service, he was pronounced dead at 10.31pm.

Police Hunt Killer as Crime Scene Secured

Investigators from the Specialist Crime Command have sealed off the area. There have been no arrests yet, and enquiries are ongoing.

Officers are currently informing the victim’s next of kin. Formal identification and a post-mortem examination will follow.
