£17k Antique Watch Heist in Lewes
At 3.25am on Sunday, December 4, police swooped on an antique shop in Lewes after a daring break-in.
Thieves Swipe Priceless OMEGA Watches
Burglars made off with a stash of antique OMEGA watches worth a whopping £17,000.
Two Men Arrested and Bailed
A 57-year-old and a 32-year-old man from Lewes were arrested on suspicion of burglary.
Both have since been released on bail, due back in court on March 4.
Police Hunt for CCTV Footage
Crime Investigator George Shannon urged residents, saying: “We would really like to hear from anyone who has any CCTV or doorbell footage, in particular from anyone who lives in Cliffe High Street and adjoining Malling Street.”
